The Sydney Opera House was really interesting!
Instead of being one complete piece, the ‘shells’ are made of tiles that reflect the sun at different angles. This gives the Opera House the illusion of changing colors as the sun goes across the sky! To keep the glare down the tiles are cream rather than white.
The best part about this, is that the carpet inside is a regal purple! Can I have this in my house!?!
We also made a quick stop at Luna Park. Luna is the Australian version of Coney Island.
Where’s my groom!?!
Another day we took the ferry over to Manly Island. The number of ‘manly’ jokes I wanted to make that day were too many to count! Manly is said to be the non-touristy Australian beach and it didn’t disappoint. Splashing in the waves and laying out was just the refresh I needed! Hey mom, come take a selfie!
Dad you can join too!
Mmm, so Manly 😉
We also stopped at Bondi Beach one day prior to me spending the last few days there solo. All along Bondi Beach is this street art. Here were a few of my favorites along with the view from my hostel. Rough life living across from the beach 😉
Bondi is know for this pool at one end of the beach. The pool is filled by the waves crashing over the side. There is an actual lap lane along this wall as well, which means you can unknowingly be hit by a wave as it crashed into the outside of the pool. Way cool!
One of the last days in Sydney, after the rain stopped, I did the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Beach Walk.
Crazy amazing views, right!?!
